Digg is a website made for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the Internet, by submitting links and stories, and voting and commenting on submitted links and stories. Voting stories up is called digging. To Digg you must have a Digg account which is free to create. You can sign up for digg at http://digg.com

Now back to business. To digg, its always easier to have a Digg button in your blog posts. Isn't it?
While integrating a DiggIt button is very easy in WordPress, in Blogger its a pain in arse.
While googling and found that a script from Digg itself can do it! You can see the result here. I have DiggButton/Counter here at start of each post on right side.

How to add it? Here it goes.

1.) Open your Blogger Dashboard and Go to Layout. Here 1st thing to do is Backup your template. Cluck Download Full Template.

2.) Click "Expand Widgets" Check box. This will show extra editable html code in Blog Template Editor.

3.) In Blog's Template Code find this line :

4.) Just Before this line paste the following code:

Vibrant Blogger Template

So Gosu is back from his vacation and hes brought us a magnificent template on his return, the Vibrant blogger template was originally designed by Custom theme design.

Just as the name suggests, this template literally radiates energy and life. But apart from just being a vibrant three column template this skin is actually feature packed with a good amount of ready made sections.

The template starts of with the navigational menu tabs on the top left, while on the right we have a neat search bar. The blog title under the menu tabs, with space to hold the description on the right hand side.

Then starts the main column in a neat rounded box with the headline in blue, the post date finds itself neatly placed under it, then a light blue separator holds the author and comment count. The end of the post is divided with a thin line, on the other side lies the labels.

The sidebar has some well defined sections, it starts of with a RSS section where a visitor can subscribe to your feeds, it also includes a subscribe by email. Under that is a 125 x 125 ad box that can hold up to three advertisements. Below that is a tabbed navigation menu that fits the colors of the blog.

Then you have the sidebar dividing into two columns, so apparently this is a very useful sidebar. All the widgets in the sidebar have a nice header that suits the theme, and to end it there is a subscribe to RSS even in the footer and a link to go back to the homepage, I suggest you complete the blog with a jump to the top link.

There are some updates to this theme, the images went missing so I have uploaded the images and script in the zip folder you can re download them if they are not there. Apart from that I have also found this patch from Gosu's site.

In the css you will be able to locate

"Blogumus" is an Flash based tag cloud widget which uses scripts converted from Roy Tanck's WP Cumulus plugin for Wordpress. I fell in love with Roy's original Cumulus plugin when I saw it, and simply had to learn how to convert this for use in Blogger powered blogs. The result is the widget you can see in action at the top of this post. Hover your mouse over the Flash object to see the animation begin. In this post, I'll explain how you can add Blogumus to your own Blogger layout with ease!

Update: Improved Widget Code

I have updated the code required to run this widget to activate links in the tag cloud Flash movie. If you have already installed Blogumus, please replace your widget code with the new updated code, or reference the additional lines to modify your existing installation.

How it works

This widget uses a combination of JavaScript and Flash animation to parse and display your blog labels. Once installed in your template, it should work "out of the box" without any additional tweaking required, though of course you may prefer to change the variables for color, background and size if appropriate :) You should also be able to move the Label Cloud widget through the Page Elements page of your dashboard if you prefer display in a different layout location. To see Blogumus in action, both Flash and Javascript must be installed and enabled for your internet browser. However, it does degrade relatively gracefully, and label links will still be clickable (though not animated) for those who do not use JavaScript of Flash (including search engine spiders).

How to install Blogumus in your Blogger layout

Installing Blogumus in your Blogger layout is surprisingly simple! You should only need to copy and paste a section of code to your Blogger template, though any tweaks for the style of display will require some manual editing. Here are the steps required to install Blogumus in your Blogger layout: Go to Layout>Edit HTML in your Blogger dashboard, and search for the following line (or similar):

Immediatly after this line, paste the following section of code:

b:widget id='Label99' locked='false' title='Labels' type='Label'>

Then preview your template. If installed correctly, you should see the tag cloud appear in your sidebar. Then you are free to save your template, edit the colors and dimensions as required, or move it to a different location. That's all!

Customizing Blogumus

In this default installation, Blogumus includes the following preset variables:

Width is set to 240px
Height is set to 300px;
Background color is white
Test color is grey
Font size is "12"

If you would prefer to make your widget wider, shorter, change the color scheme, etc, you will need to do this by editing various parts of the code. I'll go through these options in the order they appear in the widget code. Editing width and height The variables for width and height are found in this line of the script:

The width (currently 240) is highlighted in red, while the height (300px default) is highlighted in blue. These numerical values specify the width and height in pixels, so you can alter these of you prefer. Editing background color You can change the background color from white to any other color by altering the hex value in the same line:

For example, if you prefer a bright red background, you may replace #ffffff with #ff0000. Take a look at this page for a list of commonly used hex color codes. Alter the color of text By default, the text is set to display as dark grey ( hex value #333333). You can alter this variable in the following line:

Be aware that "tcolor" is a Flash variable and doesn't include the usual hash symbol of hex color codes. Be sure to only replace the numbers! Adjust the font size The maximum font size of tags is specified in this line:

so.addVariable("tagcloud", "12'>");

You can alter this to ensure tags are displayed in a bigger or smaller font if you prefer by changing "12" to a larger or smaller number. While making any of these changes, you should be able to preview your widget and be certain that your new choice of color, dimensions and background are suitable for your needs.

Credits, support and requirements

Blogumus is based on the original WP Cumulus plugin by Roy Tanck, and was converted for use with Blogger layouts by myself. Please leave the credit links in the widget code intact. These will not be seen by the majority of your blog readers (as they will only display if JavaScript and Flash is not activated) but leaving these links intact is a great way of passing some link love on to Roy for all his hard work, and to inform other Blogger users that they can find the widget codes on this site.

Requirements

For Blogumus to display properly in your template, you will need to have Flash Player 7 or higher. You can download the latest Flash Player plugin for your browser from Adobe. I'm not sure that this installation will support special characters as tags (only Latin characters supported at present). If you do experiecce issues with labels displaying incorrectly, please let me know. I'll try to add more support, but have very little experience using Flash!

Zinmag Primus Blogger Template

Another fantastic addition to the collection of Blogger templates, the Zinmag Primus was originally designed by Jinsona Design and ported to blogger by Falcon Hive

rThe Zinmag Primus template is an update from the Zinmag Remedy had a manual click slider for the featured content this has an automated version with a start and stop button.

The template features two dropdown menus with categories and sub categories, located above and below the header section. The header section consists of the blog title and an advertisement. Under this is the feature post automatic slider and then the template is divided into the main cloumn and sidebar.

The sidebar starts off as a single column and is divided into two section later on, while the footer has four columns! The template comes with a twitter button and a tag cloud in the sidebar.

Apart from this the template lacks icons and has a sort of minimalistic design which ofcourse will help load speed, but the feel of it does not match up with the beautiful header section. I would personally tweak the design of this template a little bit before I use it. But its wonderfull no doubt, go ahead and download it!

Zinmag Futura Blogger Template

Recently we have been featuring a lot of templates from Jinsona, who has created the Zinmag series for wordpress. Today we have the Zinmag Futura that was converted to blogger by Cahaya Biru.

If you have seen the Zinmag Remedy template that has the slider in the header that enables you to showcase your blog's posts, the Futura has this slider and goes a step ahead with another slider midway, under the featured post, in the image below the new slider is the one with the Batman image.

Lets start from the beginning, top left we can see RSS buttons to subscribe, a header title and description, the section ends with a neat search bar. Now we have a double drop down menu, and then the slider. Under the slider we move to the featured post and then comes the second slider.

After that we have a nicely created post introduction section with a readmore and comments link. The template ends with a three column footer. The sidebar starts with a tabbed navigation section, it then has a widget to pull in your twitter updates and then divides into two columns. So here we have another fantastic blogger template!

Zinmag Remedy Blogspot Theme

The theme that takes blogger to the next level, Zinmag Remedy was created by Jinsona Design and ported to blogger by Falcon Hive. The hottest porters at the moment to blogspot, they have an incredible amount of templates churning out, I hope to feature all of them as and when possible.

A magazine template that will blow your mind away, the Zinmage comes with a double drop down bar, unlike The Arthemia Template for Blogger

his one works in IE6 as well. Under that is a featured post scroller that works wonderfully in all browsers I actually adapted it to my blog.

There is a featured post section on the left, its important to understand that the sections on the top and the left have to be manually created and this can take quite a bit of your time. But it sure will help in increasing your page views and boosting your seo as well.

The next thing is the big space to jot down something and the post space gives birth to a nice section that holds summarised post with the read more option. There is a tabbed navigation widget as well on the home page besides a slot for embedding videos.

The template also features two sidebars, a designed search button as well as a subscribe to feed section, RSS buttons on top and space for your blog title and description. This is definitely one of the templates I highly recommend!

Zinmag Tribune Blogger Template

Falcon Hive is on a roll, he has converted yet another professional looking beautiful template, Zinmag Tribune Blogger template, that was originally designed by Jinsona Design.

This feature-rich newspaper-style template gives you ample of space to display your content. Zinmag Tribune, a 4 column template, has two navigation bars, the top one above the header can be used to put your contact, home, archives links etc. While the one below the header has a dropdown menu to put all your categories and sub-sections.

The header is simple with the subscribe to your feed option on the right side of the text. A useful feature on Zinmag Tribune is the content scroller, where you can place your featured content or top posts. Below it is a content glider, which is quite appealing. When you hover on the image, the headline and a small description of the post appears at the bottom, and of course your readers can glide through your latest content.

Then are four boxes to add more content and each one has the expandable post feature enabled, and after that is another mini-post section, Zinmag Tribune definitely has lot of features. The top of the sidebar has video section too, so all your favorite videos can be uploaded here.

A regular feature on many blogs is an ad section to put your sponsors or display ads. Below it comes the tabber, which makes the blog look lot neater. Then the sidebar disects into two columns, giving you a chance to experiment with your content.

That's not it, Zinmag Tribune has a bottom column which is divided into three sections. You can play around with the design, and make the maximum use of the space. If you have news-based blog, then Zinmag Tribune fits the bill.

The Arthemia Blogger Template

One of the hottest templates for wordpress, the Arthemia template has been converted to blogger. But does it live up to its wordpress version, lets take a look at Themelib's latest port.

Well let me say this is a very neat and clean adaptation of the wordpress version, but when it comes to the functionality the wordpress theme has the blogger version gets a 3 out of 10.

The Arthemia template for wordpress is tag based, label based for you to understand, it picks up articles from select categories for you to display. It also has a prominent display of the labels incase a user wants to see that.

Its interesting especially if your visitors want to check out a particular category, it has one main post in the header and five sub feature posts. A beautiful middle bar to display your categories of choice.

While the blogger blog adapts the top header links, the sidebar is a single column breaking in to two parts and then finally into two. The footer is the same broken up into three columns. This template is beautiful, elegant and very professional even for blogger but as compared to its wordpress brother its far far behind.

Tabs 01 Blogger Template

The Tabs 01 Template is an original blogspot design by Templates para Voce" that is super functional.

Perhaps this template is not as attractive as all the other templates on this blog. may even find it repulsive but it found a place here because of its functionality. A template like this where every section including the footer has the possibility of adding a widget is rare to find.

Its header is located on the right unlike most blogs and has a character limitation, if your blog title is really long you will find it spilling out of the section. The description is below the Blog title and then the sidebar follows.

On the left we start of with the posts, the headline, post that is the date and at the end of the post are the labels, comment links etc. The navigation menu appears on the top of the sidebar, under than are two very useful multiple template tabs.

Now the lovely part is the content in these tabs can be edited by selecting the tab and then using the quick edit icon, when you are logged in. Another great part is the templates is absolutely fluid, in the screenshot you can see one post and a box under it. As the posts increase the box automatically moves to the right if the sidebar is shorter than the main column.

Take a look at the page element layout in the screenshot below. This template will suit a blog that has loads of content, but the design is definelty something that could have been tweaked a little more.
